Almost There - A Mom & Pups Rescue
Phoenix, AZ
ATR specializes in providing care for pregnant mamas, nursing dogs, and puppies. They rescue these dogs from less-than-ideal circumstances and offer them a safe and comfortable environment to grow and become socialized before helping them find forever homes. Their staff are experts in caring for the unique needs of mama dogs and newborn pups, and their shelter is equipped with large Mutternity Suites + kennels with their own HVAC and drainage systems. The dogs are in their care for an average of 8 weeks. During this extended stay, they focus on socialization, offering a specially designed curriculum they call “Puppy Preschool” for the pups and creating personalized force-free training programs for the mamas to prepare them for life after the shelter. Each dog is altered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption. Their commitment extends beyond the dogs in our care. They aim to help Arizona’s homeless dog population through education, advocacy, and donor-funded programs like Mutternity Leave and courtesy spay and neuter. Pooch Savers Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based dog rescue serving the Dallas–Fort Worth area and surrounding North Texas communities. Founded in 2019 in response to the overwhelming animal welfare crisis in Texas, Pooch Savers is dedicated to rescuing abandoned, abused, neglected, homeless, and unwanted dogs and giving them the care and second chance they deserve. Guided by the Golden Rule, Pooch Savers provides each dog with a safe place to land, along with food, medical care, rehabilitation, training, and plenty of love while they wait for the right forever home. The rescue takes in dogs from overcrowded shelters, owner surrenders, stray situations, and urgent medical cases, including dogs who need significant care before they can be adopted. At the heart of Pooch Savers is the belief that every dog deserves a chance to thrive. Through foster care, responsible adoption, spay and neuter advocacy, and a dedicated community of volunteers and supporters, they work toward a world where fewer dogs are left without a home — and every dog can find a family of their own.

We also pride ourselves on helping rescues and communities. Our dog-obsessed partnership program helps bring revenue to the people we love most: the dog obsessed. We are also focused on researching and developing the highest quality food, treats and desserts to bring to market in a shelf stable capacity to ensure the food is healthy, convenient, and environmentally friendly.
Transparency is an important part of who we are. Not only do we believe dogs deserve better, but so do you. We’re completely up front about what goes into our food. You can find out more about all our ingredients in each recipe on our recipes page.
Happy Howl is designed to be enjoyed by dogs of all ages, including seniors and puppies, and those with dental challenges. Our meals have a stew-like texture that can easily be served as-is or gently mashed for easier eating, making it accessible for dogs with no teeth or limited chewing ability.

Here’s how it works:
- 100% Human-Grade Ingredients are thoughtfully sourced from local US farms
- The raw ingredients for each individual meal are measured and filled into our BPA free cartons and then vacuum sealed.
- The sealed cartons are then steam-pressure cooked, this eliminates harmful bacteria and retains all nutritional value of the cooked ingredients within the walls of the carton. No need for preservatives
- Once cooked, the food retains it’s quality, freshness and shelf stability for up to 24-months as long as it’s unopened.
This is how we achieve a 2 year shelf life with zero preservatives!
All Happy Howl food meets AAFCO standards for complete and balanced nutrition for all life stages, including puppies (large breeds too), adult and senior dogs. In addition, all of our food is made with 100% human grade ingredients.
Our food is cooked in small batches in a USDA kitchen and goes through a strict testing process from a certified third-party for quality assurance before it ever leaves our facility. We go the extra mile so you can feel confident that you are feeding your dog the highest quality dog food on the market.
Every dog is different. Variables like weight, age, activity level and current healthcare are important factors when calculating how many calories your dog should eat in a day. We make this easy.
